We work with Organic producers and wholesalers as well as local CSAs and small holders who have a proven commitment to growing produce sustainably and bringing other benefits to the communities of Ffestiniog and the surrounding area. Here is some more information about the fantastic businesses and community projects you are supporting with your veg box subscription.
Free Range Foods
Free Range Foods was established in spring 2020, when we first started turning the sheep fields next to our workshops into a thriving market garden. A branch of Free Range Designs - the furniture and composting toilet side of the business - the vegetable gardens are located on Glandyfi Farm near Machynlleth, overlooking the river Dyfi.
With large amounts of horse manure from a neighbouring farm, we have created around one-acre of very fertile growing space and aim to have produce to sell throughout the year, with a particular passion for pumpkins!
Through the new vegetable-growing enterprise we hope to inspire more market gardens to spring up in the Dyfi valley area, with our ambition to have far greater local food resilience.

We are delighted to be working with Welsh wholesaler Watson and Pratt's based in Lampeter:
"Certified organic by the soil association and sourcing primarily from organic growers within wales and on the Herefordshire borders we provide an ever changing array of the best that the seasons have to offer. In order to stock the full range of fruit and vegetables and to cover the leaner periods in the British growing season, we also import from Europe. Again working with well established organic growers in Italy, Spain, France and Holland we are able to bring the highlights of their seasons to our shop and to cafes, restaurants and box schemes throughout the uk"
